Shoot yourself to the top in Archery Training
Archery Training is the first in what’s to come!
Ever since we started making WebVR games in 2018, we have been looking for ways to improve our game making pipeline. It started off in 2018 with the game “Barrels”, that we made with Unity. Since then, we have transitioned to more web native tools, such as A-Frame and three.js. Nowadays, we use the Wonderland Engine, which allows us to create our own optimal game creation tool while also creating games ourselves. (You can also try it out, it’s free to use!)
Since launching our last game Construct Chess, we wanted to create more systems in Wonderland Engine, that we could reuse in more games in the future. After brainstorming with the whole team, we decided to make a big game that was divided into smaller sub-projects that developed the main game’s mechanics.
I gave a talk about it for the WebXR Discord community and previewed the first version of Archery Training there.
Thanks to this, we can release more games while also working on a bigger-scoped game. The first mechanic we are focusing on is the arrow shooting mechanic, that I hope you will like. Next up is another game using the same mechanic combined with another one. We will share the news on that game soon, as it is also quite far.
